Up the Tempo Music Programme

We have been chosen to participate in Ulster Bank’s Up the Tempo Programme as the main school in the Munster area. Four musicians from the National Concert Hall  'Learn and Explore Programme' will provide daily workshops in the school during the week of 18th -22nd of May. A grand finale in the National Concert Hall involving each main school from the 7 residencies nationwide will take place on 4th June.

Bands Spectacular
This year’s Bands Spectacular took place in Bunratty Folk Park. It was open air event - thankfully the weather held up.  The schools participating in this year’s event were Monaleen National School from Limerick, Ennis National School and ourselves. In all there were over 70 children from Knockanean School playing.   Thank you to Claire Cremin for the photos below. Hopefully we will have more to add soon.

We had a talent competition as gaeilge in the school early in 2009.  Take a guess as to which of the judges was our very own Simon Cowell!
