Congratulations from the entire school to Ciara Cahill and Keelan Butler who have won Community Games All-Star Awards.  Ciara won her award for Judo.  Keelan won his for Rugby.  This is a great achievement and honour.  They were presented with their awards recently in the West County Hotel.

Basketball
On the 19th of May, the boys played a basketball blitz against Crusheen, Saint Conaires, Barefield, Doora and Kilnaboy. They won every match including against the red hot favourites Barefield, beating them by the largest amount. everybody enjoyed themselves very much and it was a great day. Especially for those who were supporting and didnt have to learn in school!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the 26th of May, the boys went to the Gaeilscoil to play basketball matches. The teams they played were Gaeilscoil, Kilrush, Lahinch and Saint Conaires of Shannon. They won against Gaeilscoil, Kilrush and Lahinch with everybody giving it their best, but unfortunately they lost their first match against Saint Conaires of Shannon. They won the final against Saint Conaires again and played outstandingly. They are now crowned the champions of the first ever basketball boys league.

Missing two star players in Niall Keane and Keith Mc Carthy, both out with broken arms, they did very well to reach the finals and win.  The panel was: Conor Galvin,Ronan O Donnell ,Tadhg Corbett,David Clancy,Kevin Moloney,Cian Crimmins,John Severn,Cian O’Doherty Colin Sheedy,Cathal Clune,Niall Keane and Keith Mc Carthy.
