** Take a look at photos from First Holy Communion day which took place in May 2010 at Saint Breckans Church, Doora.

 

** Congratulations to the boys and girls in 6th Class who were confirmed in St Breckans Church, Doora recently.  Well done to teachers & their helpers on the day for the beautiful ceremony.   

  

** Congratulations to Katie Power in 4th Class who won 2nd prize in the Bord Gais "Capture The Power" photography competition.  Take a look at Katiesprize winning photo and photos from the prize giving ceremony in Dublin.

   

**Congratulations to Alana Brigdale who won her section in the EBS Handwriting  Competition. Alana now goes forward to represent Clare in the Munster competition. Best of Luck Alana.

 

** We had a vist from the ESB's Electric Vehicle recently.  The visit was organised by our  Green Schools Committee so the children could see the use that is made of alternative fuels as opposed to petrol and diesel.  Thank you to Sean Hegarty, Paul Mulvaney and the ESB for facilitating us. Mile Buiochas.  Take a look at our photos here

 

** Our Students Council are running a Photography Competition for pupils from 3rd to 6th class.  The theme is Winter.  Take a look at the entries here.

During May 2010, 2nd class made their

First Holy Communion in Doora Church.  Take a look at the schools photos here.

  Our annual Halloween Party took place in the West County Hotel on Thursday 22nd October 2009.  It was a brilliant night - lots of fun, prizes and dancing.  Take a look at our fantastic halloween costumes here  >> Halloween Party

Réaltóg, our talent competition as gaeilge took place early in 2009.  The competition had it all, music, singing, dance routines and judges.  Take a look at our photos here >>  Réaltóg

 School Closures
All dates are provisional and may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

 

Summer Holidays: School closing on Wed June 30th 2010 and reopens on Monday August 30th.

Credit Union
St Francis Credit Union will operate every Thursday Morning between 9:30am-10am. The main aim is to encourage students to adopt a regular savings habit.  Application forms are available to pupils from 2nd - 6th class.  More parents are needed to help with the school Credit Union. If you can spare half an hour one thursday morning please contact Anne Marie on               086-3530928         086-3530928.
 

Website Thank You!
A very big thank you to Michele Severn for all her  hard work in getting the website up and running in early 2008.  Micheles children have now moved to secondary school but we are very grateful for all the work she put in to get the website sorted. Thank you Michele!
