May 2012 News

Congratulations to pupils in 2nd Class who made their First Holy Communion  on 19th May in the Church of Our Lady, Roslevan.  Well done to teachers, staff, parents and all involved in preparations for the ceremony and the reception at the school afterwards. As always Canon Caimin O’Carroll and Fr Jerry Carey made everyone feel very welcome and ensured the importance of the sacrament of Holy Communion was foremost in all our minds.

Sport:  Well done to our boys’ soccer team who represented Clare in Tralee on Wednesday May 16th.  The boys played very well on the day and were unlucky not to progress further.  They were accompanied by a great bunch of supporters from the school on the day.

Retirement:  Our Principal Mr Pat McNamara has announced that he will be retiring in June this year. We are very sorry to see “Mr Mac” go.  He will be missed by staff, parents and pupils alike but we would all like to wish Pat a long and happy retirement.
