On Fri Jan 30th, 5th class payed a visit to the Clare Museum. We met a guide called Ruth who played a song on the ukulele. She told us stories about St Bridget and showed us how to make St. Bridget’s crosses. We made the out of reeds and rushes and a lot of people found it difficult. There is also another type of St. Bridget’s cross that’s made out of hay. Afterwards we explored the museum and saw old artefacts. We saw old stone axe heads, a big well with glass on top of it and you could walk on it. There were also old guns and spears on display. You could listen to commentary on the various exhibitions.
