St. Vincent de Paul Volunteer

On the 7th of January John Cullinan came to our class to tell us about his experience in St.Vincent De Paul. It is a charity made for people that need help. He is a retired volunteer. That means he doesn’t get paid. They will go in pairs to visit people in need of help. They have a charity shop in 84 Parnell Street. If you have any unwanted clothes or toys in good condition please donate. They also have a shelter for homeless men that are addicted to drugs or alcohol. They are allowed to stay there for six months. The volunteers buy vouchers from Dunnes or Aldi and give them to the people in need so they can buy food. 5th class did a fast and raised €520 for St. Vincent de Paul. We also raised money for other charities. In total we raised €800.
