Sculptor Shane Gilmore

On Monday the 24th of October, Shane Gilmore visited the school. He told us about what he did and why he loves it. He explained how he makes his sculptures and all the different types of sculptures he makes. He works with clay, wood stone and sometimes bronze. He was responsible for the two big hands at the front of the cathedral. He made a sculpture of Padre Pio and a life size bronze one of Willie Clancy which can be seen in Miltown Malbay.
