Knockanean NS is very lucky to have had a very active and enthusiastic fundraising committee which has worked tirelessly to raise funds for our school  during 2011-2012 when the newest part of our school was being built..

In 2011 work commenced on a four classroom extension – replacing the exisiting prefabs in use. We were fortunate to have funding from the Department of Education for 3 of the classrooms. The extra building work was funded by parents and friends of the school through our fundraising activities.  In all, over €100,000 was raised in 12 months from September 2010 to September 2011.  A fantastic achievement in the current economic climate.

Our fundraising work will continue as the school has been listed for a large scale extension  in 2014-2015.
