World Book Day 2025

On Friday the 7^th of March, we celebrated World Book Day 2025 in school. On this day we dressed up as different characters from books, movies or cartoons. Some of the outfits on the day were really cool, some people dressed up as princesses, superheroes, villains, sports players and Mr. Curran even dressed up as a traffic cone! We brought in our favourite books to look at in class and we had a disco at break time on the yard. We listened to music like ‘Let it Go’ and ‘Free from Desire’. Everyone wore great costumes on the day and it was the best World Book Day ever!!

World Book Day 2024

We celebrated World Book Day in school on Thursday the 7^th of March. To celebrate this day, we all dressed up as our favourite characters from a book or a movie. Some of us chose to dress up as superheroes like Batman and Spiderman. There were a lot of costumes from movies too like Willy Wonka, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Wednesday Adams. Many pupils also dressed up as sports stars, like Clare players and soccer stars. In the infant classes, we all came together to listen to stories and play a few games. We also showed off our costumes and some of us brought in books that had our characters in them. At break time there was music playing and we had a little disco outside! We really enjoyed World Book Day and our favourite parts included reading books together and dressing up.

World Book Day 2023

On March 3rd, our school had world book day. Everyone dressed up as a character from a book such as soccer players, Shrek, Puss in Boots, the Tin man Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter. Anne dressed up as Wednesday, Amy, and Tina dressed up as the Trunchbull and Mr Curran dressed up as the Mad Hatter. On both lunch breaks, we had a disco. All the songs we played were from movies and everyone did a lot of dancing. Everybody got a chance to listen to a song they liked.

World Book Day 2022

On Friday the 4th of March we celebrated World Book Day. Everyone dressed up as characters from books or movies there were lots of different costumes such as the Peppa pig family, Dinosaurs, Captain Underpants, Footballers and lots more. Mr Curran dressed up as the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. Bianca made marshmallow hats for the 6th class. We watched movies and had lots of fun. It was a great day and everyone enjoyed it.
