Senior infants went to Gurteen to take part in wheelchair athletics. We all got indoor hurleys and we went into the hall. We took turns sitting in the wheel chairs. Then we practiced how to use the wheelchair. It was hard to move the wheelchair and even harder to turn it. Then when we had that done we had to take a hurley and try and hit the ball. It was hard to move the wheel chair and hold the hurley. We also took penalties sitting in the wheelchair and striking the ball. We had a really good day.
