Valentine’s Day Photography Competition 2025

To celebrate Valentine’s Day in school, the Green Schools Committee and Student Council organised a photography competition. This competition, called ‘Love in Nature’ encouraged all students to find love in nature and to capture it in a photograph. There were so many great entries, of animals, plants, people and more! The Committee and Council then chose four winners, which was a very tricky task. The junior school winners were Rua Ryan and Clara O’Brien (first class), and the senior school winners were Teddy Courtney (fourth class) and Beibhinn Curran (fifth class).

Green Schools Poster Competition

Another idea organised by the Green Schools committee was the poster and slogan competition. The committee invited all the children to come up with a catchy slogan, poem, song or rap and design a poster. The children were given a number of weeks before the closing date of 16th April. There was a huge response to the competition. Below you will see the wonderful posters created by the children and some of the winning entries. The winning slogans are being used in a Travel Song.
