Maths Eyes Competition

We are delighted to announce that, after participating in the Maths Eyes Annual Poster and Group Initiative Competition in partnership with Maths Week Ireland 2024, we were selected as winners in our category! A huge thank you to everyone who supported and contributed to this fantastic achievement. We are proud to have showcased how we see maths in the world around us!

In recognition of this achievement, we attended an award ceremony on Thursday the 11th of September in the Department of Education and Skills to celebrate our success. Here we were presented with a plaque and a poster print. Niamh O’Reilly, Caoimhe McMahon and Kieran Fitzpatrick attended on behalf of the school, along with Tina and Crea.

Maths Week 2024

Maths week took place in primary schools across the country during the week of the 12th-20th of October. Classes in our school engaged in interactive indoor and outdoor maths activities during this week, including completing maths trails, maths eyes activities, hands-on STEAM projects and maths challenges, to mention a few! Pupils really enjoyed recognising elements of maths in the school environment and exploring many mathematical topics in fun and engaging ways.
