This is a new initiative being undertaken in the school at the moment, starting with 2^nd  and 3^rdclass .With Accelerated Reading, teachers can create a customised reading programme to meet the needs of every individual pupil. Using information generated by software, teachers can help pupils select books that are difficult enough to keep them challenged, but not too difficult to cause frustration. Your child picks a book at his/her own level and reads it at his/her own pace. When finished, your child takes a short quiz on a computer/laptop/tablet/phone. Passing the quiz is an indication that your child has understood what has been read. This programme requires a lot of setting up, but we hope to have it up and running shortly.

This initiative requires a considerable amount of books, a lot of which we have already purchased. We are hoping you could donate any books needed for this programme.
