Crochet Club

The crochet club, led by their teacher Amy, have been very busy crocheting hats for babies in the neo-natal unit in Limerick Maternity Hospital. Some members of the club travelled to Limerick to present their gifts. Well done to all involved.

Christmas Activities

On Tuesday, December 12th, the Knockanean choir and music club entertained shoppers in Liddy’s Supermarket with some festive tunes.   Our carol singers will be in full voice again in St. Joseph’s Hospital and at Cuan an Chláir Day care centre this week.  Sixth Class recently enjoyed an afternoon ice skating in Limerick.  Second to Fifth Class went to the pantomine ‘Cinderella’ in Limerick.  The junior classes enjoyed a special treat when Santa came to visit.  Read more about these activities in our newsletter and view some photos here.

Intel Mini Scientist

Well done to all the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class pupils who recently participated in the Intel Mini Scientist Competition.  We all enjoyed the exhibition in the school and commend their hard work.  Congratulations to Crevan, Conor, Ben and Cal who were selected to represent the school in the regional final with their project ‘Satellites and Gravatational Pull’.  Read more and view some photos here.
