Camogie

School Year 2014/2015

On 7th of May we travelled down to Gurteen to play a match against St.Conaire’s at 10:30. We beat them by a lot even though the weather was very bad we still played our best. We are now through to the semi-final that will commence later on next week. On 9th of June we travelled to Gurteen to play our semi-final against Feakle. They put up a strong fight but overall we were the stronger team and now we are in the final against RuanToonagh. On the 17th of June we travelled to Cusack Park play our final against RuanToonagh. We had heard a lot of good things about them so we were a bit nervous to come up against them. Our two captains Una Ni Choileain and Saidhbh O Brien played a great game and led the team to victory. Our backs and goalie played a great game clearing every ball that came upon them. Our mid-field and forwards played a cracking game putting the RuanToonagh’s mid-fields and backs under a lot of pressure. The final score of the game was 11-1 to 2-0 to Knockanean. Thanks to Mr Curran and Shona for training us. HON KNOCKANEAN!!!

School Year 2013/2014

Camogie Final – Cusack Park – 18th of June: We have been really successful in camogie this year. Ballyea, Holy Family, Stonehall and Parteen were in our group. We won all our matches and got into the semi-final against Broadford. They were really tough but we beat them on a very wet day in Tulla. We are now in the final in Cusack Park against Kilmurry. We have trained a lot and we have also played lots of challenge matches around Clare. We’d like to thank Mr Curran and Ms Deloughery for all the training and support all year.
