School Year 2014/2015

Cross Country

On the 17th of September we went to Lees Road for cross country running. There was six races u8s, u10s and over 10s boys and girls. The u8s had to run one lap of the rugby and the small soccer pitch. The u10s had to run two laps and the over 10s had to run one big lap. We got two medals in  Aoibhinn O’ Loughlinn who came 9th  and Senan Crosbie who came in 10th place. We had a great day overall.

School Year 2013/2014

Cross Country

On the 12/9/13 Knockanean participated in the East Clare Cross Country Competition. It was a damp day in Lee’s Road. The Over 10 Girls came first over all. The Over 10 Boys came second overall. Congratulation to the teams and especially to Aisling Reidy, Aisling Hannon, Padraig Cahill, Róisín Cahill, Senan  Crosbie and Matthew Power for finishing in the top twelve in their  respective races. We had a great day. Thanks to all the teachers Jim, John and Saoirse.

School Year 2012/2013

Cross Country Running

On the 13th of March eight children from each age group  travelled to Lees Road to compete in the East Clare Cross Country. Cian Mc Donagh came 1st place in his over 11 race! Caelinn Mc Namara came 9th in her under 11 race! Gemma Brady came 11th in her over 11 race! Ian Williams came 9th in his under 8 race! Catriona Ni Riordan did so well and just missed the final 12 and came 13th. Well done to everyone who participated. Can’t wait for next year! Thanks to Cian, 6th class got homework off ha-ha!! Well done to all the runners and the subs who came to support us on the day.
