During the month of October we filmed a video in school for the PROTECT Climate Project. For this video there were pupils picked from each class to talk about our climate. We filmed the video one Friday together with the pupils from each class. We spoke about lots of things in the video, for example, we spoke about how you need to keep the sea animals healthy and safe from rubbish in the ocean. We also said you have to keep the sand clean and throw rubbish in the right bins.
The video was about four minutes long, and we added music and pictures to the video as well. The video was played in the Council Chamber Hall on Wednesday the 15th of October, and five pupils from the school- Luke Callinan, Beibhinn Curran, Croíadh Barry, Alison Casey and Ellie O’Brien attended the Chamber Hall to speak about climate change. Overall, we really enjoyed engaging in the PROTECT project, and we look forward to the next stages of the project which involves learning more about aspects of climate change in school.
