All parents/guardians of children attending Knockanean National School are members of the parent association, with a number of parents elected to the committee. 

The Parents Association provides a structure through which the parents/guardians, of children attending Knockanean, can work together with school representatives. Working with the Principal, Staff, and Board of Management to build effective partnerships between home and school.

The Knockanean Parents Association meets in the school a few times over the school year to organise events and discuss how we can assist in school improvements. 

All parents are very welcome to attend any of these meetings.
